I visited Pitcalzean House at the end of August 2022 for a week to celebrate my Mums wedding. We were looking for a wedding venue near Inverness, where it could also be a family holiday. The house is beautiful (it's like a historical Scottish mansion) and the surrounding private woodland is lovely with alot of wildlife, plants and trees. It is ideal for anyone looking to get out to nature, likes foraging, fishing, birdwatching etc. There were a lots of rooms and the place is like great fun for kids to play hide and seek etc (inside or out). The place is on the NC500 route, which makes it easy access to historical and fun things to do (like visit castles and other points of interest). Beaches are a close drive away which are also exremely beautiful. If you like walking, there are plenty of costal walks to choose from or even cycle. The activities provided like the clay pidgeon shooting was also great fun and would be great for corporate teambuilding events. Whether you are from Scotland or a tourist, this is a fantastic place to stay to make your visit that little bit extra special. Thank you Fiona for a great stay and hope to return in the near future for a Yoga retreat or a family get together!

Fantastic family get-together at Pitcalzean House, house and grounds superb. Plenty of space for socialising indoors and out, and enough rooms to have a quiet getaway from the madding crowd.

The house is a lovely old Scottish mansion, traditionally furnished, with excellent facilities set in its own private woodland. Thirty six of us spent a week there at a family gathering with a ceilidh dance in the party barn, and plenty of walks, beaches and coastal villages to visit. The facilities for children at the house are excellent and they had a ball. Trips were made to Inverness, Skye and Wick and Ben Bhraggie and Ben Wyvis were climbed. It is an excellent centre to explore Easter Ross. Mine host facilitated many of our activities and could not have been more helpful.

We booked Pitcalzean House for our wedding for an entire week. It was absolutely lovely. The owner Fiona was so helpful and providing us with tips for the wedding. And as soon as one of the dishwassers broke down, she came straight away to help fix it. We would definitely recommend Pitcalzean House to anyone, especially with a large group. There is enough to do inside the house and the surroundings. The grounds are lovely and perfect for a party!
